When it comes to eating on traveling, it is always a challenge to stay as healthy as possible.
I didn’t get to have tea with Hello Kitty because my ETA overshoot by an hour. The direct bus at 1stop operating after 1600hrs, way before my arrival time at Taoyuan International Airport. So I ended up taking a transfer bus then change to subway.
Shortly after I’ve checked in, I make my way to 阿宗面线.
No. 8之1號, Éméi St, Wanhua District, Taipei City
Sun, Sat 10:30am–11pm
I told J to take some pictures and he told me to reuse my old pictures. How hilarious is that? He also insisted that I take-away his portion so that he can eat at Shilin Night Market.
When we were here in Taipei in Oct 2011, Shilin night market was still at pre-moving stage. Now the old site is under construction and the night market has shifted, some stalls go to basement and ground level.
J was satisfied with his dinner – beef steak (150NT), XXL crispy chicken (55NT), Mango shaven ice (120NT) and my fave fruit juice – honey bitter gourd (60NT).
We went around and did some shopping before ending up sleeping at 3am.
We have no plans to do karaoke because J only sing in the bathroom. I remembered singing in a Hello Kitty theme karaoke in Taipei some years ago.

>> Going to eat the recommended beef noodle by a friend
From Metro Stn: Ximen, it took me 1 stop to go to Metro Stn: Taipei Main Station. From there, look out for public bus stop and take bus no. 206 to go to 中国文化大学. towards the direction to Yang Ming Shan.
Fare: 22 NT
Time taken: Approx. 40 mins
Once you have alighted at the bus stop:Chinese Culture U. , you will see the huge sign in the picture above, at Aifu 2nd Street. Then follow the purple arrow and walk into the direction of Hua Gang road.
Continue walking towards the end of the road, the university will be on the left and you will see the beef noodle store as it is.
PS PS: Try to arrive before peak hour to avoid long queue.
There are many entries on this beef noodle store, this is an example.
Afterwards, we took the same bus 260 to Yang Ming Shan, hiked and sweated before taking the mini-bus 9 to Xin Bei Tou. We visited the Hot Spring Museum, Millennium Hot Spring and Thermal Valley. We also ended up taking a cheap hot spring bath to wash away our sweaty bodies.
Then we took the subway to Dan Shui station and boarded bus R26 to Fisherman Wharf. Initially we wanted to take the ferry but it was too early for sunset and thought of taking it on the way back. When we arrived at fisherman Wharf, the sun glare was too strong. We ended up chilling out at starbucks and when it was nearer to sunset, we headed out. It was beautiful to enjoy the wind and beautiful sunset. When the full moon came out, it was even more beautiful. It was very romantic to stroll along Fisherman Wharf.
Sorry, I didn’t expect this entry will take me a long time to complete. I will update again.
